Every Mother’s Day weekend, the quiet town of Parkfield, California, population 18, transforms into a bluegrass haven filled with more than a thousand pickers, players, and fun-loving fans. For over a quarter century, the Parkfield Bluegrass Festival has offered a true escape: wide-open skies, rolling oak-studded hills, and the unmistakable high-lonesome sound of American bluegrass.

Just 25 miles northeast of Paso Robles, Parkfield’s clean air, warm evenings, and old-West charm set the stage for a weekend of music and community. Live bands fill the cozy outdoor stage by day, and at night the Parkfield Café becomes a legendary hub for intimate late-night sets.

In the campgrounds, jam sessions spark up everywhere, welcoming beginners, pros, and anyone ready to make music with new friends. With instrument workshops and a kids’ music camp, it’s a place where musicians of all ages can learn, grow, and connect.

If you’re looking for a festival with heart, where the setting is as memorable as the music, you’ll find it here in Parkfield. Join us this Mother’s Day weekend and become part of a tradition that continues to bring people together year after year.
